The Museum of the Albemarle, located along the Pasquotank River in
Elizabeth City, NC is an 80,000 square foot museum focusing on the
history of the Albemarle Region. This $11 million dollar facility
was completed in 2006. The museum features multiple interior spaces
including exhibit areas, offices, an auditorium, and support spaces.
The building featured multiple complex construct features including
a complicated battered piles and a standing seam metal roof system
which included curved and mitered panels.
