The exterior repairs to Building 3 at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth consist of the complete removal and replacement of the building's deteriorated brick facade. In addition to the facade replacement, the entire roof system requires replacement. The building, originally built in 1957, has been experiencing significant leaks over the years due to the failing exterior facade.
This $34 million project is schedule for completion in 2014.
